Abstract
This standard is applicable for single unit outdoor post insulators made of porcelain material and assembled with metal end fittings. Post insulators according to this standard are electrically rated for a AC withstand voltage of 230 kV and a lightning impulse withstand voltage (BIL) of 550 kV similar to IEC 60273. The insulating body consists of a solid core porcelain.
